Sorry I've been off here so long. I had a lot going on. Hubby and I have both had some medical problems to deal with. I've had a birthday and a hip replacement. We joke about the fact that my birthday gift was a new hip. I think it could have at least been gift wrapped.
I want to share with you a valentine that I made for my secret sister in a women's group that I belong to. She's a very special lady who was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Though she has a lung problem that would curtail that melodic sound in most people she never stops singing. It's definitely a God Thing.
I found a ceramic heart with pink roses in a thrift store. I cut two half hearts from an old sheet music and glued them to the middle of the heart. Then I found a vintage style clip art of a woman singing while holding a sheet music. I cut it out and glued it to the sheet music heart. There is a hole on the back for hanging.
I needed a gift box to put it in so I went through my stash and found the perfect box. I glued strips of burgundy lace onto the box lid, wrapped the heart in pink tissue, tucked it into the box and away it went to the recipients home. A special gift for a special lady.
I think I know who this was made for and I bet she really, really enjoys it! Glad to see you well enough to be back on the computer.
