They've been hanging around here the last couple of days.
Pretty mama
Watch where you're going. There might be a car coming.
Isn't the little one a cutie? Sometimes his mama has a hard time keeping up with him.

Grandma's Sewing Machine
A few weeks ago I wrote about my friend, Greg Hill, who was repurposing my grandmother's antique sewing machine. He is so talented! Here is the final result.
Against the wall in the dining room Above it is an old painting by a Swedish artist. I think it belonged to my other grandmother who was Swedish.
We decided to leave the drawers with the original finish. We just couldn't mess with that wonderful patina.
The ruler across the front to the right of the drawers was originally on the top of the sewing machine at the front edge. Greg was able to save it and put it along the front of the cabinet.

Each number and letter on the ruler was inlaid. Incredible!

He painted the brand of the machine copper. Below it are the letters 'USA'. I'm going to paint them copper also.
