DH (Dear Hubby) is walking with me. The caregivers were given a white ribbon with a rhinestone to wear. They walked with the survivors.
We finished the first lap. There's a tee shirt and medal given to all the survivors each year. A survivor friend walked with me later. I told her we needed to go to the survivor booth for her tee shirt and medal. She didn't think she needed a tee shirt because she got one last year. I insisted and told her she'll be getting one every year for a long time!!

Wish I could have been there because I would have been on the sidelines cheering and clapping as you walked by. Ernie and I are part of a Relay For Life team. It's called Renie's Kids and was formed in honor of his mother who lost her battle to ovarian cancer. Ernie has 5 sisters and 4 of the 5 are cancer survivors. His dad is also a cancer survivor. One year on the Survivor Lap, his sisters locked arms and walked the lap side by side. We were all hooting and hollering as they went by. Well, here's to you and all the other survivors...clink!
